Rocky River

A dense forest of sugar maples that spring from clay soil on rocky outcrops are the surrounds to the Saint Louis River Gorge that runs through Jay Cooke State Park. On the morning of the autumn equinox, the river was strikingly blue and fall color was already on full display.
